Monday August 7. I am ready to co-host a new episode of the History and Politics series ‘Shaping Our World’ on Cold War Radio with my friend Hutch Bailie Jr. On this show we’ll talk about the Second Sino-Japanese war and the Japanese troops devastating attack on the then capital of China, Nanking (Nanjing). An estimated 300,000 civilians were killed, many decapitated, immolated or machine gunned. Thousands of women and little girls were raped and killed. The brutality was unbelievable.
In the SOW series (Shaping Our World) we talk about important historical events that have importance to our political situation today. You will find this episode CWR#493 here after the show – but you can also go directly to Cold War Radio‘s show page, listen LIVE and participate in the lively and friendly chat-room. If you have questions or comments, please call us on (International +1) 412-567-1460 between 8 and 9 PM ET.
